What does Glimt use AI for?
Glimt uses AI to plan your storyboard, write the script and on-screen text, make images, voice the script, time the captions and make music that fits your video. Everything it makes lands on a normal timeline, so you can change any of it by hand.
Does Glimt make fake filmed footage?
No. Glimt doesn't generate filmed footage from text. It builds your video from your own clips and photos, AI images animated with camera moves, motion graphics and 3D. It tells you what it made, and AI images are labelled as AI images.
Can I edit the video myself?
Yes, all of it. Start in the storyboard, or open the full timeline to trim, split and move clips, change text and transitions, and add keyframes. Or just ask: “make it shorter”, “swap the music”. Your changes and Glimt's share one undo history.
Which sizes can I export?
9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube, 1:1 square and 4:5 for feeds. Free exports are 1080p; Plus and Team export in 4K without a watermark.
What's in the free plan?
Free is $0: 5,000 AI credits a month (about one AI video), 3 songs a month and 1080p exports with a small “Made with Glimt” end card. Editing by hand is included.
What are AI credits?
AI credits measure the AI work that goes into a video: planning, images, voice and captions. Songs are counted separately. Your allowance resets every month and unused credits don't roll over.
What happens to my clips and photos?
They're used only to make your project, and never to train AI. Glimt runs on Cloudflare, and AI steps go through OpenRouter to the AI providers it connects to, which get only what that step needs. You can delete a project or your whole account at any time.
Who is Glimt for?
Creators, small businesses, students and marketers who want great-looking videos without learning an editor. Glimt is for adults: you need to be 18 or older to use it.
Is there a Mac app?
Yes. Download it with "Download for Mac" at the bottom of any page. It needs macOS 15 or later, updates itself, and opens the same projects as the web. Your plan covers both.
When can I buy Plus or Team?
Now. Choose Get Plus or Get Team on the pricing page, pick monthly or yearly, and pay securely with Stripe. Plus and Team can also buy AI credit packs and music packs whenever they need more.
