Who we are
Glimt is an AI video studio made by Sansavision, a division of Sansa Group AB, Gothenburg, Sweden (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and Sansa Group AB, and they cover the Glimt website, the web app at app.glimt.my, and the Mac app when it becomes available.
Glimt is for adults (18+)
You must be 18 or older to create an account or use Glimt. We ask you to confirm your age when you sign up. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete its content.
If you use Glimt for an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
Your account
- You sign in with your email address, using a one-time link or code. Keep access to that inbox secure.
- Give accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account, including what collaborators do in shared projects.
Plans, AI credits and payment
Free costs nothing and includes a monthly allowance of AI credits and songs. For the paid plans (Plus and Team):
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- AI credits and songs are monthly allowances. Unused allowance doesn't roll over. Top-up packs, where offered, last 12 months from purchase.
- Prices are shown before you pay. We'll tell you in advance if a price changes for an existing subscription.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider; we don't see or store your full card details.
Where the law gives you a right to withdraw, cancel or get a refund, nothing in these terms takes it away.
Your content stays yours
You keep all rights to the clips, photos, logos, audio and text you bring to Glimt, and to the projects you make. You give us permission to store, process and transmit that content only to run Glimt for you: to make and edit your videos, to show them to people you share them with, and to keep the service secure.
We don't use your content to train AI, and we don't sell it. Some processing is done for us by the providers listed in the privacy policy, under the same limits.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for the content you upload, including from people who appear in it.
AI-made content
Glimt uses AI to plan storyboards, write scripts and on-screen text, make images, voice scripts, time captions and make music. AI can be wrong, and its output can resemble existing work. Review your video before you publish it; you are responsible for what you publish.
- Glimt doesn't generate filmed footage from text, and it labels AI images as AI images in the editor.
- Subject to these terms and to the rights of others, you may use what you make in Glimt, including commercially. Some rights in AI output, including music, depend on the terms of the providers that make them; we'll summarise them here before paid plans open.
- The Free plan adds a small “Made with Glimt” end card to exports. Paid plans don't.
Acceptable use
Don't use Glimt to make, upload or share:
- anything involving minors in a sexual or harmful way, or any sexual content;
- content that impersonates a real person, or makes it look like someone said or did something they didn't;
- intimate images of anyone without their consent;
- content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, or incites violence;
- content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy;
- spam, scams, malware or misleading ads.
Don't try to get around limits or security, overload the service, scrape it, or use it or its output to build a competing AI service. Follow the rules of the platforms you post to.
The service, and changes to it
Glimt is new and still growing. We may add, change or remove features, and we'll give reasonable notice before removing something important from a paid plan. We work to keep Glimt available and your projects safe, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, so keep copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
Ending your account
You can stop using Glimt at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to export your projects first.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Glimt is provided “as is”, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes go to the courts of Sweden, but if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
We'll post changes here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
